i got a hobbywing SWORD brushless controller the other day but im not sure if its hooked up right.
the problem is the wires from the bsc to the motor are all blue in color and marked a, b, and c, but the wires from the motor are red, black and white.
ive got it hooked up and it seems to work but i get about 2 mins flying time so i think its hooked up wrong maybe and its drawing too much current.
any help will be appreciated

If the motor is turning in the right direction then the wires are connected properly, there is no wrong way, only the direction of rotation is changed by swapping any 2 of the wires.
As to the problem of too short flying time, you are probably drawing too much current for the pack you are using. For anyone to help you they will need to know the motor you are using, the prop, and the battery (# of cells, Mah rating) Post back with more details.

thanks pete.
im using a BM 2408-21 brushless motor in an artech cessna 182.
im using 2 8.4v nimh packs 1 is 1000mah the other is 1200 intellect cells.
could the bsc be setup for lipo's?
would that cause the problem??

zumanity-
It's possible that your battery packs can't provide the the required current for more than a couple of minutes. Do you know the "C" ratings of your battery packs?
You still have not told us which prop you are using. That would be helpful.
