Mega combo question-
I have recently purchased a MEGA 16/25/4, a polyquest 4s 3700 mah lipo, a Jeti 40a opto ESC, UBEC and a 6.5x6.5 graupner speed prop- does anyone know what type of wattage this combo puts out? any data on thrust? Any one have this for a stryker? if so, what speeds are you reaching?

RE: Mega combo question-
This is what Motocalc has to say: take this with many grains of salt.
Motor: Mega ACn 16-25-4; 1270rpm/V; 1.3A no-load; 0.023 Ohms.
Battery: Thunder Power TP4000 (ProLite) (10C); 4 cells; 4000mAh @ 3.7V; 0.018 Ohms/cell.
Speed Control: Castle Creations Phoenix 45; 0.0026 Ohms; High rate.
Drive System: Direct; 6.5x6.5 (Pconst=1.47; Tconst=1) direct drive.
Airframe: Anything you want.
Motor Amps = 22.0
Motor Volts = 13.2
Input (W) = 289.3
Prop RPM = 16012
Thrust (oz) = 28.6
PSpd (mph) = 98.6

RE: Mega combo question-
9thLife,
If you are after performance, then go with APC sport 7X7.
Use a wattmeter before going any further.
These is a good amount of room left to push but I rather see you use a wattmeter before going further to be 200% safe.
The above will get you to 95+ MPH with great climbing. And keep you in happy range of all parts with plenty of efficiency at 90%.

I used prop constants of 1.6 and 0.95, they will cause the simulation to show higher AMP draw and less thrust.
Hyperion LVX series 3700 20C battery was used.
CC45A ESC
It shows that you have over 6 minutes of full throttle level flight at 95 MPH(or little more) using my Stryker Airframe.
__________________________
Difference of the two props:
There may be a 8 MPH improvement over your prop along with a strong vertical (90 degree) climbing versus a weak (90 degree) climbing.
EDIT: Speed improvement correction was done, I changed the value above from 12MPH to 8 MPH.
Good luck,
Gryphon
