Default Some more basic E-Flite Questions

I was seriously thinking about buying Mukltiplex twister.
But according to most people the performance on 3S is a lot to be desired.
Now my Questions

If you have a motor Like the himax 2885-3600 rated for 35 amps.
Can you run any battery pack , hook it up to your watt meter
as long as it is pulling under 35 amps it OK ? say a 4S 20C 2100.

How about the ESC.
With a 4S pack do you need a ESC rated for a 4S pack ?
Or is it the same , keep it under the max amps of the ESC ?
Say an E-flite 40 amp ESC on a 4S pack. ( I have one )

Thanks in advance

No, because you will likely exceed the power that the motor can handle. Power (watts) = voltage x current. For many motors, the maximum power (watts) is specified.

If you increase the voltage by 25% and are still pulling the same current, then the power will also increase by 25%. The motor may not be rated to handle that much power, which will result in overheating = melting insulation and damaged magnets.

The ESC specifications should state how much voltage it can handle. If the specs do not state that the ESC can handle 4S, it probably can't!

Also its not the pack. You must put the right prop on it to "prop" it properfly! lolz, seriously, the right prop seperates you from flying and dying!
