Hi,
I have just purchased a new plane, a friend also has this plane with a 20amp esc (manufactor's recommendation) I also have the same brand esc also 20amp, however instead of buying another esc the same for this plane, would it matter if I used a 30amp esc? I would rather have a few set ups for later on than have two the same.
This is proberly a pointless question but I'm still fairly new to electric rc flight.
Thanks Reuben

HI, AS YOU SAY, AN ESC CAN NEVER BE TOO BIG. I ALWAYS ERR ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION AND USE ONE THAT IS NOT RUNNING TO FULL CAPACITY.
I HAVE USED HACKER 70-XB-PRO ESC ON A MODEL THAT ONLY REQUIRES A 50AMP ESC. THE FACT IT WILL BE DRIVING 7 STANDARD SIZE SERVO`S TOO, MEANS IT WILL DRAW MORE AMPS. ALSO PROP SIZE/PITCH WILL ALSO HAVE AN EFFECT ON AMP DRAW.
HOPE THIS OF SOME HELP

Hi,
Thanks for the answers,
The esc spec's are.
They are both hyperion titan series.
20amp p31 -38mx24mmx7.5mm weight is 18.1 grams
30amp p31 -44mmx27mmx8.0mm weight is 27.1grams
I am currently using the 20 amp in a foamy and I'm inmpressed with it, I think I will order the 30amp for my new model, its a wee bit bigger but it should fit in with room to spare.
Thanks Reuben
