Default Pressing out shaft for changing ends

I have been flying electrics for several years and have never had to swap the ends with the shaft. I recently purchased a Park Master 3D and the motor mount requires this to happen. It is a Himax motor. I have never had to do this and am a little leary. The supplied manual gives pretty specific instructions but still shakey about doing this. Anyone no any tips or tricks before I attempt to ruin it ??

Default RE: Pressing out shaft for changing ends

Make sure you undo ALL set screws and remove any circlips. Separate the bell from the rest of the motor. Use a vise, not a heavy hammer. Use appropriate sizes from your socket set to support the bell as you press the shaft out. You'll need a drift (maybe a short length of a broken drill shaft) to press the last of the shaft out of the bell.
