Just to let you know, im new to the brushless moters and electronics that go with them. I just got the Parkzone F4U Corsair and when i plug the battery in, the electronics make a high pitched wine. Is that supposed to happen?

It's not unheard of. I have some whine in my micro indoor stuff. The link below indicates that some people get whine from the servos.

I am unfamiliar with parkZone products, but many escs make a sound on start-up to let you know they're armed. some of the better ones will also tell you how many cells the esc detects and whether or not the brake is on. They sound is usually a series of beeps, so I'm not sure what a "whine" means.

My attitude is........Noise when the motor is NOT RUNNING is very bad. It means the ESC is putting power to themotor when it should not. Make sure you have re-programmed the ESC to a.........Brake OFF ......... setting. The brake ON.... COULD cause singing at full stop.
