Crashed Super Cub with 2808 Scorpion motor into about 4 inches of mud. Friend said I would have to hose the motor and I thought sure, but when I disassembled it, I realized he was right.
Placed under a water facet and cleaned it with an old tooth brush and immediately dried it with a hot air blower. It seems to run okay but is there anything that should can be done?
Thanks
Larry

I would have run some rust inhibitor oil in the bearings also. Interesting that one of the things regularly done on brushed motors is to run them underwater for breakin. Thought that was insane, but it works just fine, DC power different than AC in this regard. Good luck. ENJOY

Will do on the rust inhibitor and interesting on break in; thought the water would damage the windings. Learn something everyday
