Timing motors
Hi!. Just getting started in this hobby, and am fasinated by the electric models. Have read a lot on this forum and other places and have a questioin. On the cheapie 400 motors - like those furnished with wingo or soarstar, can they be timed and is it necessary to do so?
Thanks!

Timing motors
They can be timed by rotating the back plate clockwise until the tabs won't go any further. What good it does I'm not sure I saw any deal of difference. I know the watts output wasn't any better and that's what I'm after.

Graupner Speed 400's are neutral timed so they can run in either direction efficiently. You problably wouldn't notice any difference if you tried to tweek the timing.
