Thinking about using the guts from another plane to repower my garbage truck,....er I mean PZ FW and was wondering if the main components would do the trick or not.
Tower Pro 2409-12T
20A ESC
Micro Rx and servos from deceased EDF Jet
Will this setupwork? What kind of performance can I expect?
I think the plane stock weighs about 28 ozs butshould be lighter w/ thissetup.
What battery/propcombo would you use if you believe this setup is sufficient.
Thanks,
Alan

you will need to change both servos also to the standard 3 wire.
What i did for my son was kept the stock motor, changed servo from deceased PZ Spitfire, bought cheap 25 amp brushed ESC, JR receiver to go with JR 7202. For power i use cheap 2200 mah 11.1v 15c battery. Flies beautifully.
Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply. I actually ordered a bigger motor capable of spinning 10-11" props andam going to combine that w/ a 40A ESC. THe wing will get dual servos as well as some reinforcement if ican figureout the best way to do this.
Thanks,
Alan
