Gws Gs-400e
I just purchased a GWS Beaver which really look nice. The recomended ESC is the GWS ICS-100 or ICS-400. For some reason they sent me the GS-400E which has a brake. Is this OK? What is the brake for and why would you need one? Can I use this with my Beaver or will it hurt/help the performance?

The brake stops the prop and keeps it from spinning when the motor is off. Very useful on planes with folding props, as it allows them to fold.
I don't think you will notice any difference. I added a GS400 on my Slow Stick and don't see any difference.
