Motor/ESC Timing Info?
Could someone point me to a site or thread that covers the concept of setting the motor/esc timing for electric motors? I tried a search on this forum using the search function at the top, but it returned no hits. Thanks. CC

RE: Motor/ESC Timing Info?
Check Castle Creations. In general lower timing increases duration, higher timing(advanced) increases power; in-runners generally have lower pole counts than out-runners and require less advance.

RE: Motor/ESC Timing Info?
Thanks, Walt. The only info I found on the Castle site was under the general use manual for the Phoenix line of controllers, and it basically mirrored what you said. I was hoping to find something a bit more in depth and theoretically informative in regards to settings vs applications. CC

Try the Ampeer article archives at http://homepage.mac.com/kmyersefo
The Ampeer has been around a long time and is a treasure trove of info. I saw/read something about timing recently as soon as my rememberer catches up with my recall I'll let you know.
