Default Brushless inrunner over heating

A friend bought a Sky Surfer from Banana Hobby and had the brushed motor and ESC change out to Brushless (inrunner) motor setup
and the new motor has no marking on it.
flying for the first time after 5minutes the plane losses all control and crashed
I bench tested the plane equipment and receiver was dead
change out the receiver and benched tested again after about three minutes the motor and ESC was extremely hot and receiver shut down again
the ESC and motor was too hot to touch .

I was wondering if any one else has had this problem

Default RE: Brushless inrunner over heating

Your problem is just those two words: Banana Hobby!

It seems the Rx is a disaster... but I'll bet the motor was over-propped too. Since there are no markings on the motor you have no idea about its Kv or current handling capacity.
