Default heat sink

Hi All,

I have just purchased a Castle "Thunderbird 54" brushless ESC, to replace a E-flite 30amp ESC. I noticed that the new 54 amp ESC does not have a heat sink plate on it like the E-flite had. Is this normal for some ESCs not to have a heat sink?

Default RE: heat sink

Yes, most ESC's in the smaller sizes do not have heat sinks.  My Scorpion 55's, for instance, do not.  It will be fine.  Castle makes very good and reliable ESC's.
