receiver for electric rc plane
 

I am generally a nitro rc airplane guy but i recently just bought my first rc eletric airplane the problem is it did not come with a reciver and i figured i could use my ar600 that i use for my nitro planes but im not sure how to connect the battery to the motor? i posted a picture so hopefully someone can help me.

Well the battery plugs into the ESC, the ESC plugs (3) wires into the (brushless) motor and a plug that looks like a servo plugs into the Rx.

I will try to get a picture of a battery, ESC, motor and Rx on the bench tomorrow and post it here.

Unfortunetly your pix does not show what needs to show. It does state in other post however. Follow that post.

The AR600 is a good choice for electric powered models. As mentioned, plug the servo plug from the ESC into the throttle channel on the receiver, for Spektrum that's channel 1, ignore the CH3 label on the lead, that's for a Futaba receiver. The ESC provides regulated power for the receiver through the throttle connection, simple as that[8D]

Ok. the only problem im having is like in the picture it shows the end connection for the ESC and the connecter for the battery both appear to have the same plug. So how do i connect the two?

If you look, they are the same plug. Yet they do plug together. The red wire on the battery has the large side and the red lead on the ESC has the small size. They plug together only one way.

Thank you so much. I didnt even try connecting them because they looked like the same size to me.

They make one piece of plastic that has two sizes of holes. That way it will only mate one direction so you have less of a chance to plug in backwards.

Now the question i have for you is this, are both connectors the same size? They make a 3.5mm and a 4.0 mm, they look the same. I have the 3.5mm connectors so I have no idea how much difference there is between the 3.5 and 4mm.

The reason I ask is I was looking at the battery and it says it has a 4.0mm banana plug. So, if they are the same size yo are good to go.
