SS1 Motor
 

I have a CEN Aqua Jet I dropped a Graupner 8.4, BB Turbo into with an RC Hydros controller and 14 cells. It rocked and rolled on the water smoking the competition. I mean this little boat hauls booty.

So naturally I couldn't leave well enough alone and got a Fine Design SS1 motor and dropped it in. I can't complete one lap without my batteries dying. I can't figure this out. I'm using 3000 mah Nimh 7 cell packs. I get good long times with my other boats, but this SS1 seems to gobble power. Is this normal? Anyone know about these motors? It is a 9 turn motor and looks good all fan cooled and such, but yuck....no time on the batteries.
