Slow Stick Saga continues

Now that I gave up on the 400C / Slow Stick combo it looks sad sitting there with no motor. I ordered an AXI 2808 20 with a Phoenix-35. My intent is to eventually fly a Pigi with this at 154 watts to the prop. Right now I want to hang it on the Slow Stick at 94 watts to the prop.
Anyone know how I can mount a motor of this type (external rotor) to the Sticks front?
Regards,
Doug

As far as I know no one has yet made up a stick mount for the 2808 series, but what you could do is buy one for the 22xx motors as a pattern, and make a new ply plate for the front of it:

I have my 2808 mounted in a slightly modified "Aeronaut Horizontal mount for Speed 400" (HLAN 2097) - it would be easy to attach (screw) a ply plate (about 40mm x 40mm would be ideal) horizontally atop the SS stick, then attach the beam mount to it with the standard four screws.

Cheers, Phil

I ordered 2 of them. I'm going to put 'Designed by Phil and Matt' under my wing.
Thanks guys,
Doug
