18 lb. twin EDF, what motors???????

thanx for you look see,

i'm building a scratch mig 29 twin that will weigh 18 lbs and will you use 2 ducted fan motors. seems like theres not much out there on large edf planes. any ideas on what
i might be able to use or where i can look for some more info. i have room for and would like to use 5 inch fans. i've looked at the web sites of hacker, max cim, etc. etc. but being something of a rookie can't get much from them. any help of course greatly appreciated...

RE: 18 lb. twin EDF, what motors???????

I found a couple of links to BIG ducted fans (640W-1200W) - the last in this list might work for you - 2400W for 18lb would be fairly impressive. Otherwise, for a plane that size a couple of $2000 jet turbines might be the answer.

Cheers, Phil
