electric motor info
 
new to electric, but noticed hobby lobby recommends axi2208/34 for the shock flyer yet another shop recommends 2208/26. what is the significance of the 34 & 26, is the any other motor that could be used? thanks inadvance

26 and 34 are the number of turns (winds) on the stator. The 26 is a hotter set up due to shorter wire length (less resistance), but it will draw more current (shorter flight times).

The numbers:
22 - diameter of the stator in millimeters
08 - lenght of the stator in mm
/26 - number of turns.

The higher the # of turns, the lower the Kv of the motor.
