There's not much out there on the Cermark BL-2 motor, so I thought I'd post my experience with it so far. It comes with a 5mm shaft, but all (well, most) of my pinions are 1/8". To loosen up what appeared to be epoxy on the end cap, I used a micro torch to heat up the end cap. I tapped on the motor shaft lightly until there was a small gap between the end cap and the "center housing". I then used a small chisel to tap on the end cap until it came off. Man, I tell you it's one tight fit. So tight I didn't use anything (epoxy, ect) when I put the end cap back on. We'll see if that was a mistake or not, but so far it hasn't came loose under operation. The magnets appear to be wrapped in kevlar. The windings look good (to me anyhow).
I have the CEM BL-2 on my Morris Hobbies Pen Knife (2.25lbs RTF). MEC super box-approx 4.29:1, 13x6.5 APC E prop, CC PHX45 (std advance, insensitive current limiting), Apogee 3s 4160. My tach shows 7000rpm with a fresh pack. 30k shaft rpm.... I'm glad its wrapped :) I'll post a pic of the disassembled motor & graph from my Medusa Power Analyzer Plus.

Hi,

I have the cermark 600bl2,same geabox and APC 16x8 prop, CC60 SC, and 3s2p 6000mah lipo in a banchee.
I get 6800 with this setup at 5000 feet in denver.

It pulls 5+lb on the ground for info. In your lightweight 2.25lb plane you have mega power.
I milled a flat spot the motor shaft where the pinion set screw goes on, the pinion set screw then fits better.

For info, when you tighten the gear box to motor be careful of not overtighening the bolts, the alumium in the motor is soft.
Found this out the soft way!!

I made a milled alumium motor mount for it, very light weight.

I have several I am getting ready to sell for the AXI's, 10mm round nippy, pjs and other mounts to bulkhead and 10mm booms. enclosed pic of a few protos, I am going to make them lighter than the one shown. I have other styles in the mill right now.
