Watt meters and Props

I'm looking for some guide lines and the process fundamentals for using a watt meter as it relates to selecting a prop, motor and battery etc. Hope this makes sense.

Thanks

Jeff

RE: Watt meters and Props

That's not how a Watt meter is used. These are the main purposes of a Watt meter:

A Watt meter is used to verify setups, to make sure the Amps don't exceed the capacity of the motor, battery, or ESC.
A Watt meter is used to look for problems, such as a drastic voltage drop (early motor cutoff) or excessive current draw.
A Watt meter is used to test the effects of changing the prop size on a power system.
