electric equvalent of 50cc Gas engine

I am thinking of building a 50cc size Spitfire (Yellow Aircraft) and making it electric powered. I want to use a sound system to simulate the Merlin sound.
Any ideas what brand, size,Prop, batteries required that would be suitable to give the same performance as the 5occ gas engine?.

Regards

Forget about 50cc, find an electric motor that suits your plane, without thinking IC.

Ask Lucien about these 5545 motor en HV controllers here?

RE: electric equvalent of 50cc Gas engine

Hi Ron,

I know the Yellow Aircfaft Spitfire flies very well with a 50cc Gas engine. I don't know what size electric motor will fly it as well. From what I can remember my gas spitfire had a 21x8 or 22x8 prop truning at 7000 or 7500 rpm. So i need an electric motor that willl do the same. The link you gave me is very informative.
Thanks
