Thunder tiger Pro 21R starter
I am working on a TTPro 21R with the directhex drive backplate. Any clue on how to convert it to pull start or maybe there is a good starter available? At this point Ithink Imay have to cut off an Allen wrench and chuck it up in a drill, I really hate doing that.
I tried an XTM starter which has the right hex diameter but not enough nuts to turn the engine over.

They call that the E starter, it is meant to be used with a drill. Like you said just chop an allen key off.
The parts from the 21 BXR will convert it to pullstart, you will need the backplate, one way bearing and pullstart.

Thanks Ant. I also finally found the right starter wand, even after consulting the techs at Great Planes. Looks like we can use the wand with an airplane starter, should be fine. I bet it runs great, all my Thunder Tiger airplane engines run good. Here is one of my favorites (just because I like showing it off LOL)

Yes the Pro21 is a great little engine, easy to tune and lasts well. It will never win any races but it shifts along fine.
Nice plane....I hear the thump of a 4 stroke.
