Engine for an MT2

I have about £100 ($220 for u americans) to spend on a decent engine. I could get it from america, if the price was right. I have been looking at the OS .18 TZ but that will rip the diffs out. So would the .12 engine from OS be any good. (as long as it has more torque than my T-15 that will be great) BTW, I don't want to replace diffs every minute it accelerates.

tz is way too power ful look at a os cvrx think www.jespares.com does them. i personally got a lrpz16s engine for £60 from some closing down sale last year and it whips even my race buggys and the engine has seen almost 7 gallons still runing no prob never a prob tuning never broke pullstart and i have not broke my mt2 since i got the engine and im stillrunnign ym stock rtr diffs whihc have seen over 15 gallons use in the last 2 years. i think the newer verison of the engine i got is the lrpz18s should be unreal also.

i had an mt2 and i replaced the t-15 engine with an os 18cvr. there is a big difference in power of course. the car will scream. enough?? i think it is enough if you just want a powerful engine to make the truck go faster BUT, if you want to go INSANE go with the 18TZ. i had that engine after the CVR i am telling you MY MT2 got rediculously fast, but you will blow out the diffs from the first try. WHAT i did was replace the rear differential with MT2 18SS. IF YOU WANT TO GO INSANE 18TZ IS THE ENGINE OF CHOICE NO DOUBT.!!!!!
