Hello All,
I put a new 25 engine in a second hand XTM mammoth today. Problem is it seems very tight when pulling the pull start. It did fire a couple of times but never started. I assume there will be some tightness on a new motor but this seems a little excessive, any ideas???
Thanks

Take a heat gun or a blow dryer to the head and heat it up to about 200 degrees. This will cause the internals to expand and it will be much easier to turn over/start. You will want to do this for quite a few tanks as its easier to get started and easier on the piston and rod during break-in as well.
