Axial .28 problems
Whenever I go 1/2 throttle or more on a run and bring my truck back, the engine just keeps revving. I replaced the front bearing when it leaked, sealed the motor, and my idle, linkage, and radio settings are good. I am about to throw that motor away because I just don't know what else to do with it. I have a LST. Could the problem be my OWB? I haven't had one decent run with this motor and I have had it for about 4 months.

It's most likely too lean on the bottom end, so richen it up some and see how it runs...if you do decide to throw it out, then I'll take it off your hands

RE: Axial .28 problems
Hey nitrojimbo the mid needle my not be set right mine wasn't when i got mine and there could be a air leak there i couldn't get a good tune at all but after doing a lot of research i found how to set these mid needles, the companys only say the mid needle should be flush....DOHO ,
Give this a shot, you need to take the high needle housing off and look into where you can see the mid needle set to flush now there are four holes in the mid needle you want to make sure one of the holes is pointing up to the high needle, Now it dont have to be centered just pointing up to the hight needle then put your high needle housing back in also this needle can move During running and cause air leaks so i sealed mine off with some high-temp red RTV, I have the 28 1S and it ran so so but not great it runs great now in fact it screams check it out and let us know how it goes doing this may help on the idle trouble if theres a air leak there.

So do I just unsrew the HSN until it comes out? Also, I have the mid at flush but I don't know if the holes are pointed toward the HSN.

Ok, so I got the holes in the mid needle pointed toward the HSN. I'll see how it runs probably on Thursday after school. Thanks for the tip ridgerunner1.

I got it running really good. I just had to richen the LSN and take a few high speed runs to get the engine used to it, and then it was great.
