I remember the day when I cried to my Mommy because my friend Johnny told me that he was smarter than me. Ahhh the good old days.

OK, now all kidding aside, Man to Man - - Where on this thread did I call you "slow"? I called you simple, not slow. Get it right.

Now if you'll excuse me, it's time for my diaper change. Did you get that catfish?

dittch - if you want a proper test, I would suggest elevated temperatures - the reactions could very well be different at room temperature versus typical running temperatures of the nitro engines - please do not think I am taking either side - but if you want an impartial test of material performance, it ought to be in similar conditions

and as an impartial observer, I must say I find all the nastiness in this thread pretty sorry

now I'll go back to my usual forum where we generally refrain from jumping all over each other - have a good weekend

To me it seems that dittch is proving that supertib is either wrong or has never actually used silicone on a motor. Also, bjonaiti probably needs a hug. I understand wanting to break bread and offering cat fish as a peace offering, but I think it was mis-understood. I try to come at people real and stuff, but someone here is lying. Blue RTV does not dissolve in nitro fuel.

I am being assaulted by a bunch of newbies !!!!!! Help !

A test is underway...copper RTV is setting up on wax paper right now, it will be dry tommorow and be submersed in nitro....results will floow in 2 days...... once the blob has soaked we will wipe it across some white paper, if it smears then it is not nitro proof....if it stays solid it is......so go back to playing with your RTR's and we will continue this once the blob has soaked for 24-48 hours.... no heat will be needed

12 hours and the RTV is fine in both nitromethane and methanol. It's also fine in the 20% nitro fuel after 3 days. Good idea on the paper smear test. I just did it on all 3 experiments and not one bit of residue.

I think I should take some pictures....not that it will prove anything to you supertib, but for those objective folks with an open mind and the willingness to learn, it may be helpful. As a matter of fact, I'm going to look into putting it on video and posting it on youtube or something like that.

They're all back in the solvents. I'll let these go for 1 week. If nothing happens after that I'll take them to work and sonicate the heck out of them at elevated temperature for a few hours and do one last paper smear test.

haha, so now you're calling all those who disagree with you newbies. You're losing credibility by the minute. This is just another example of your pure arrogance since you don't know any of us. This kind of talk continues to show who you really are. Regardless of the results of your test, I'm sure you'll report it as not nitro proof. I've seen how you act in this thread and your problem is that you think too highly of yourself. I also get the impression that you and are incapable of admitting when you are wrong. It's obvious that people who don't take your word as gospel are a threat to you, and that's just sad.

You really need to get over yourself. You may think of yourself as so much more knowledgable on the subject than the rest of us, but everyone sees you for who you really are.....and believe me, I think I can speak for about everyone when I say we're far from impressed. Now get back in the toolbox where you belong.

Post pictures please.... if you want to prove your right post pictures and quit fighting... i mean I seriously don't care !!!! I use a better product then RTV anyways....Honestly your more interested in attacking me personally then you are with just proving the topic,,,please just post pics ! I am going to with the copper RTV so you might as well do the same.....

As for the newbie comment ...there are 2 people in this thread have a total post count of less then 10, they are absolute newbies to this forum.....

I mean seriously dude you act very high and mighty, what kind of RC gear do you own anyways ? what experience do you have ? have you ever raced, have you ever owned anything remotely close to quality when it comes to RC ? I have plenty of credentials if you care to look... Maybe the RTV you have is holding up IDK, its a very minor thing anyways... But regardless when it comes to nitro engines and nitro engine performance you are a newb in my books...I can back up what I say about these engines without any issue, i have dozens of videos, dozens upon dozen's of happy customers, I modify engines for a pro racing team and over the years have collected many dozens of trophies at both national and regional events....your likely still running a RTR XTM and Axial engines ! LOL ... Maybe your right, the RTV your using is Nitro proof, I know for sure the copper RTV we have here is not.... Who cares.....seriously ! you dont like me saying i know more then you do, then please lets see some videos of your gear running, it will show us immediately how much you know....

hers what my RC's run like if you wish to compare notes

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svbaqFOW_5Q

and hers the results of my engines at the Canadian Winter nationals...

So from reading the past threads, I can deduce a few things:
1) There is a direct coorleation between the number of posts on RC Universe vs. the level of knowledge of RC.

2) Supertib knows more about RC than anyone else on this thread. End of story on that note.

3) By posting pictures of his friends and showing videos, everyone must take Supertib's word.

I forgot to mention that I received 2 private messages yesterday from 2 separate people (who will remain nameless), who sent me links to RCU threads involving arrogant statements by our friend Supertib. These 2 people noted that they had the same experience with our friend......arrogance. One of the threads actually proved Supertib wrong about something......however, supertib mysteriously dissappeared when questioned about it. Must have been a sale at the comic book store to pull him away from the computer. Don't worry Supertib, I beleive you because you told me to!

Ohh, wanna see a picture of my friends holding their RC Cars?

Ditch, your a chemist, please post pics of your experiment.... i mean seriously its meaningless without pictures..... I will have pics of melted copper RTV in a day or two, including a paper smear...please do pics of the product your using.... who knows, maybe you have found a better product then regular copper RTV we have here...But without pictures there is no credibility to your tests....

You pretty much set yourself up for being called arrogant based on your posts. So you have no one else to thank but yourself for that.

I honestly don't care what your engines look like, or how your cars run, or which friends basement you use to play cars. Your credibility with me (and many many other people on this forum) is pretty much shot - - which shouldn't bother you.

Dittch said it best..........special.

I'm sorry, is that supposed to impress me? Because of that am I am supposed to believe every claim you make now?...and what does that have to do with RTV and its resistance to chemicals? You really are simple. Keep thinking so highly of yourself, it's giving everyone here a good laugh.

If I'm just a newbie like you say then why are you so threatened by my criticism. Yes, you are threatened by my criticism, otherwise you wouldn't post pointless garbage like the above in an attempt to make yourself look good. I'm thinking self esteem issues, work on it

on the topic of pictures, I'm going a step further than that. I'm going to video tape each test with my camcorder and get it posted online, everyone here can count on that. As far as you, I don't care what you think because you've demonstrated that you're incapable of looking at anything objectively unless it somehow results in you being correct...sad

I see, so they must only have a month of RC experience at best, at least in your mind. And do you still assume they play with RTR's?

hahahahaahaha, you think I act high and mighty, you are something else. That's the definition of you, not me, just look at your posts genius

Hey, ever hear of the word "diversion" or "strawman"? It is when insecure people like yourself become concerned that they may be losing a debate, so they go on a sidetrack to avoid having to address the real issue. That is what you're doing here, check it out:

Maybe I'm right? Earlier you said we are all wrong and that RTV is not nitro proof. You need to keep your erroneous blabber straight.

So now it's a regional thing? How convenient. The RTV you have there is not nitro proof, but mine is. Like I said before, you obviously need to feel you're right and at any cost. How sad.

try more like eight pounds. and if you posted a vid radaring it at 75 i'd believe you, but, i'll take it with a grain of salt.

if you want to start talking about modding, i suggest you start another thread. this one has been asked and answered.

quick post for the insecure: hey, that is some great dremmel work, you are a master of the rotary tool
hopefully that boosted the over inflated ego

now can we get back to the topic, effects of nitro fuel on silicone RTV, or should I post up pictures of the wood floor I've been working on?

LOL... dude I am anything but insecure ! more like i am very confident and know full well the copper RTV softens... I will be posting pictures once its done, so i suggest you do the same....... You guys got offended when i said i know alot more about these engines then you do, and I think i have proved that without any shadow of a doubt...you may call me arrogant, but i consider it confidence..... I have put my work out these for many years now, gone head to head with many people and have done extremely well...a few guys with XTM's and Axial's are not going to intimidate me one bit...as i say lets see some of your gear dude ! better yet post some pictures of your tests, all i see is your claims, but with absolutely no proof whatsoever..... you guys questioned my knowledge of these engines, I posted pics and videos proving what i know and what i do, now its your turn...... or what are you intimidated to post what you got now ? You guys talk the big talk, lets see you back that talk up......
