I have used my losi rtr engine (#450 for truggy .28, or #350 for buggy .21), price wise the 450 is about $225 i think and the 350 is like $199. i have had minefor quite a while, no problems

Yeah, if you're not worried about being race legal for a buggy with a 21, then Mach 427 all the way.. I get 10+ minutes in truggy, and it's got plenty of power.. Cheap too, and nothing is more reliable IMO....

The new reedy motor by associated is suppose to be an animal maybe a little pricey ($248) but i hear its quite the engine i believe its called the 121vr or something my local parts shop says its the best all around for the money plus it has the screwed in carb w/gasket sounds like a real piece of work. its a 3port and its .21, check it out!!!

i picked up my son a dynamite mach2 21 for his hyper7 ..... this lil motor rips ,,, he give my vz-b v-spec 2 motor a run ... and its in no way finiky to tune ... LOL i always gotta tune the OS and never have touched his since i tuned it after break in

I think you should get an engine that will break its self in,
tunes its self, chooses what pipe it wants to run best with all
by its self and of course maintains its self for twenty or more
gallons of fuel. Now that engine would keep all the B.S. posts
of the engines threads. Do the research youself, read the threads
on each engines your thinking about buying.

Dude(s), I ran my RC8 buggy with Caster Grenade engine yesterday, and I honestly think it can hang with anything.. Yeah, the Ninjas and OS's and RB's and NR's are great and all - but they cost twice as much - or more... - and to be honest, no other engine in and of itself would make me faster. Other setup things or driving skill would.. I was practically wheelying down the straight after the main jump.. The Caster really rocks it power-wise.. For the price DEFO worth a look IMO.. A VERY fast engine..
