engine help needed!

hello,

i have the tower hobbies st-15 nitro truck..i just bought it so the engine is still being broke in. when i start the car up, the motor revs up at full throttle! the tires spin out of control as well. do i have the throttle screw adjusted wrong? also, the antenna wire broke off half way... i can't turn the two front wheels since the wire is broke in half..do you think it's the wire being broke? high and low speed needles are set at factory settings. thanks!

RE: engine help needed!

With the engine off take off the air filter and look down the throat off the carb. The carb should be open only by about 1.5mm with the throttle servo in the neutral position.

To fix this problem you may have to look at your throttle linkage. Post a photo of your setup with the servos at the neutral position.

As for the antenna, the only fix to maintain performace of the signal is to buy a replacement antenna. Then solder it on to the appropriate spot on the receiver.

Make sure your Throttle servo is not reversed on the transmitter.

Did I not just post an answer in another thread of yours?

As far out as it needs to be to let the engine idle. About 1.5mm
