RE: which is a better engine for Savage X
ORIGINAL: turbohardtop which engine is better for the savage X SS...axial .28 spec 1s or RR. Thanks. I am going to recalculate the sleeve port timings as well and also put a degree wheel on the engine to verify the results. If the timing profile of the RR is the same as the normal Spec 1S, then the outputs would actually be similar. The RR would produce probably just a little more due to the port cofiguration design; this configuration helps promote better fluid flow of the incoming fuel-air charge. If I discover that the port timings are identical between the Spec 1S and the RR, then I am thinking that "Spec1" means the timing profiles are the same. The RR I guess would be part of the Spec1 family; the Spec1S ("S" for sport I guess) and Spec1 RR (or simply RR as we incorrectly call it, it is Spec 1 RR, we must not forget the "Spec 1" from the nomenclature) would perform similarly. |
