Problem I'm experiencing ... Help

I currently have a Mugen MBX5T Prospec in which I'm running the RB Concepts C6BB T7 (Turbo) Team Edition. The issue I'm having is the clutch bell bearings .. for some reason, I go through both bearings on the bell at least once every race .. now I went and purchased 10 ACE ceramic bearings thinking that this would eliminate the issue .. NOT. I have gone through all 10 bearings within 1 1/2 months. The clutch bell is the standard for the Prospec (13T) as well as the spur (46T).

Anyboby have any ideas as to why this is happening ?

Meaning that the bearings are basically torn appart to shredded !!

That is a sign that something is out of round. Your CB could be imbalanced, your spur and the shaft it goes to might be out of roune of the shaft on the sour or your engine could be bent.

Is there excessive clearance between the bearings outer race and the bearing bores in the clutch bell?

I had a clutch that would do that...and even w/ new bearings I could wobble the clutch bell. The bearing bores were too big (just a couple thou. ) but apparently that was enough to cause problem? You have a lot more powerful engine than the one I had, as well.

I put a new clutch bell on it and that stopped the bearing problem.

Don't know if that's gonna fix your problem, but it's worth a shot to measure the bearing bores to see? Can you wobble the clutch bell even w/ new bearings?

Or maybe not enough clearance, there should be a hair of end play, otherwise the races will fry.
