Difference between shafts ????????

Hey folks what's the difference between the SG shafts & the Regular shafts??? are they a difference in length etc. I'm trying to get a decent engine for my boy's car(associated ntc3) but the SG shaft comes the question......thanks folks.

Ok, the one on the far laft is Standard (or Regular) shaft, the one next to it is short shaft and the 3 on the right are SG (or Pilot) shafts.
