Stalling Engine :(
 

Heyy!! i have a problem with my engine.. ok here is the story: every time i start my car and start using it.. after i do a turn or let go of the throttle a little bit.. my car just shuts off and stalls...

i was wondering if any of you have had this before or if anyone knoes how to fix this....


should i bring it to my rc car hobby shop and get them to look at it.. i think it may just need a tune up


if anyone of you could help me.... that would be great

Adjust your idle screw, you should have a 1-2mm opening in the carb when at idle, take your air filter off and look inside of the carb and make sure you have the proper gap, when you release the throttle the gap closes completely and your car stalls.....hope this helps

if it just started this then it's likely one (or maybe a combination) of a couple things
first, you likely need to retune the engine
just reset the carb needles to factory settings and retune
there's a sticky at the top of this forum that explains how

second you may have a weak glow plug
try a new one

and i highly recommend that you do all this yourself
taking it to the hobby shop does not help you learn the hobby at all

Take your finger and spin the flywheel, if it's completely easy to spin then you don't have compression. If it is hard to spin when the piston reaches the top then you have compression, that eliminates the piston, sleeve, con rod being messed up.
