Nitro engine question

I recently picked up my 1st nitro truck at a flea market. It is a Tower Terror monster truck. Igot some fuel for it (O'donnel 20%per the manual) and everything I needed to fire it up. Igot it to start after a few pulls but my question is..Is it normal for a little fuel to come out around the glow plug or do I need to try to find some way to seal it up?Or am I better off replacing the head? The glow plug has a brass ring on it. Its a Duratrax carbon speed plug. I am new to nitro so any help is greatly apprieciated.</p>

RE: Nitro engine question

Probably the glowplug is a little loose or the washer (your "brass ring", which I think is actually copper) leaks. New gloplugs almost always come with a new washer.

It looks like a great little truck. Designed similarly to the much-acclaimed HPI Savage with respect to the chassis vertical plates. Videos of it look promisiing.

Parts are only available from Tower Hobbies, except for general purpose stuff, like glo-plugs.

RE: Nitro engine question

Imeant to say copper ring. Idont know why i said brass. Ilooked at the head and it looks like there is a lot of wear where the ring seals the plug. It seems to be a well built truck. I will be able to tell more about it once i actually get it to run and not spew fuel out of the head. Iam going to check tower hobbies and see if they sell a replacement head for it. Thanks for your help!
