Masking tape preferences
Being one that still edge glues sheeting, and using 5-6 rolls of masking tape per build. Has anyone found a perference in tape for balsa sheeting that won't pull grain when removing the tape?? I have been using Duck Brand Professional Painters Tape and it seems a little agressive when removing. I've been experiencing a lot of wood delamination and grain lifting using this brand when removing the tape. Anyone??? Thanks, Buzz

RE: Masking tape preferences
I've had good luck with plain old 3M brand masking tape - havent had any problems with pulling grain. Also, I pull the tape at an angle and not too aggressively and haven't really had any issues.
Hope this helps!

There is a low tack blue "painters tape" that I use that I really like. I'm out of it otherwise I'd run downstairs and get the brand for you. The blue tape isn't cheap but well worth it in my opinion. I also had some blue tape that pulled the balsa also.
