That will be more power than it needs but sometimes you gotta go with what you got

I fly mine with a DL-50 and it's more than enough but I do have to push ignition batts and RX batts forward so the extra nose weight might actually help you.

I'm sure you'll love the plane though, it's a beauty!

I have just finished my YAK and took it to the field on Sunday. I didn't fly because my test pilot didn't come but the model was well admired. I have put a CCRCpro 50cc in it with a 22*8 prop. It seems to be running at about 6500 and certainly plenty of pull. I use my G62 in a huge 9ft span 'Big Stik' which weighs nearly twice my YAK. It pulls that round the sky with the greatest of ease.
Anyway good luck with your YAK.

I have a 30% SD Yak with a G62. It certainly has the power, but it required 2 3000 MAH as far back in the cockpit as I could get them to get the CG close. So it is a fat pig, just under 20 lbs. I had a Quadra 50 in it and it was a real dog. Before that i started out with a fuji 50 in it, and i could never get that motor to run worth a dam. The next one I build assuming that sooner or later it will meat its demise, Im going with the DL 50.

I have 5 flights on mine and it has a r-c g62 and running a mezlick 23/10 . one 2300a123 in the middle of the cockpit balanced perfect and flys extremly well. Lots of power
