Can anyone tell me if there is a source for names of Carden builders. Would need their address and phone number to determine closest.

Thanks in advance.

RE: Carden builders

Call Eric Watz. He can build you a top of the line machine that is totaly custom and light weight but vary strong. PH: 989 529 6398. There are many options that he can offer in your build that most builders dont know or wont do because of cost or skill level involved. Call and ask Dennis at Carden for more builders but ask him about Eirc. He lives in Michigan but can ship the plane in a custom built shipping crate at a good price.

Jim Short is a crook!!! He took payment to buy and build 2 PCM Me 109 kits (about $3000) and he pocketed the cash and never even bought the kits. His son says he was having problems, but I wouldn't risk it. He has never made any attempt to make it right.

Eric Watz is top notch and uses some really nice touches on the builds. Here are some pics of my 40% Edge 540. Also see the pipe tunnel built up of West epoxy and fiber glass mat. He put Carbon fiber in it to make the flame patteren for a cool touch. Also look at the engine Box and fuse sides. All that lighting of the airframe was done by him and by hand. He uses West System epoxy on all joints. Wing are bonded with poly glue. I have more pics of builds in the process. he currently is building 2 37.5% Yaks 2 40% Edges and 1 35% Edge and A Dalton 42% Extra 300. All this winter. The guy is a machine.

Hey guys lets try to talk about the GOOD Carden Builder. Anbody out there that has a build going this winter?? If so Let chat it up and post some Pics of the build and talk about the builder or your self if you are the builder. I have Eric Watz working on two Cardens this winter. I would love to build my self as I once did but time is not on my side so work more and pay to have it built is the new game for me. If anybody would like I can post some pics of my two Cardens that are in the works right now. One is a 40% Edge 540 with DA 150 with MTW 110 Cans and the other is the 37.5 % Yak 54 with a DA 170 and MTW RE 3 tuned pipes. Both planes are highly modified planes and should come in around 36 pounds or less. :)

Then maybe you should listen better. There are very good builders out there, Jim Short is not one of them. I have seen many Hueffmeier planes, BBW planes, DSP planes and they are top notch builds.

RE: Carden builders

Maybe you should read the first post. This isnt the I got screwed Jim Short thread wa wa wa. If people are that dumb to let there kits just set at this guys house and send him engines and other parts and not go pick the stuff up after hearing all the excuses then thats your fault. Get on with it and move on. Find a builder that can do the work get your stuff from Jim Short and move on and finish the project. If the guy sold your stuff take him to court. End of Story. Quit crying about your lack of following though to make it right.
