HI,Ive just bought a genesis truck from ebay for my son,I know nothing about them but obviously am willing to learn as Is me that is going to have to show him how to look after it(hes 9!).Right,I went and got some after run oil as Ive read you need to use it.I took the car to the field to run the last out of the tank(because the guy hadnt)So i could put some of this oill in.I got it started ok,ran it gently round for a bit, then Im not sure what happened but it cut out.All batteries were fully charged, there was still fuel in the tank.I started it going again but it sounded like it was really over revvin??When i gave it a squeeze the wheels didnt move.It still carried on with the noise, bit smokey too.Im not on here to be chastized for not knowing because eveyone needs to learn.Id really like any help if anyone has time to give me any advice??Pleeease!!:-)Its a genesis 46 7.7 ??

hi billie, have you properly broken your engine? also, you say its over reving without the wheels moving, lift the truck and see if the propeler shafts are rotating, if props rotating but the wheels arent, check that linkage there, there might be loose screws.

Hiya,I bought it for 200 quid off a guy on ebay,it looks like new.He said hes used it 4/5 times and had got through 1/2 a big tub of fuel.I didnt rag it about, just took it steady as i was just after a quick go with it before putting the after run fuel in and storing it away for his xmas present!!It did sound an awful lot noisier like engine was really revving but there was no input from anyone on the transmitter trigger

Since you are getting it for your 9 year old son set the EPA throttle adjustment down to like 50% to start off with. EPA means end point adjustment. Go through the menu and you'll find it.

if all the drive parts seem tight move properly the next place i would look is in your tranny you might have stripped gear or something it might have accidently gone into reverse while moving and coudl have chunked the tranny gears. also if the motor seems like it is revving up while just sitting and not moving anywhere the idle is most likely set way to high you need to turn the idle down its the screw that is on the front of the carb towards the base its a black screw head. to turn the idle down you will back the screw out counterclockwise turning.
