Diff joint Cup for FUn factor

Is there anyone who has an extra that they would be willing to part with? The part number is GX12. I just got this truck for Christmas and I am dying to run it! Help!

You need to do the "diff cup mod". Once you do that mod you won't break another. Until then, you'll probably continue to break them. Do a search. It's an easy mod.

10mm olives from the plumbing section in b&q or homebase etc fit perfectly, dont need cutting or any messing about, jsut glue em on mate, they look nicer too - much more "factory" kind of look. either way will work tho mate, good luck!

Is there another term for "olives" that we may use in the US?

Looks like an olive is more commonly referred to as a compression fitting in the US. And yes, I would agree, it looks a lot more factory.

thanks poor judgement......... I am going to try the olives once the truck is laid up for the winter... If it snows anymore, this will be soon. I care alot about the look as well as the performance.............. The diff mod works great.. I've only broken 1 or 2 diff cups since the mod and it was during a really bad landing at a skate park.... Also stripped 1st gear, broke rear dog bone, front drive shaft and motor mount..... took out truck for a while but really cool to watch......

Tower Hobbies (Part # LXRW79) has the aluminum tubing 7/16" x .016" wall that can be cut to fit the outdrives for the modification. They also have it in brass and stainless steel with different wall thicknesses.

So you do not have to do any grinding on the a-arms etc., when you use the compression fittings?
