Support In Australia?
CEN appears to be trying to remedy the problems with their trucks in the States etc, but in Australia the importers seem to be in denial which is doing the CEN name an injustice. Is the Australian market so small that this is of inconsequence? My Gen is having all the problems associated with Batch 1 yet mine was purchased in Dec 2004. After 40mins post running in, broken Drive cup, leaking motor, pull start repaired 3 times, failed Failsafe etc...I thought that they should last longer?
Love the truck but need reliability, can this be attained?? |
RE: Support In Australia?
I know how you feel mate. The U.K. distributor for CEN is no help either. Keep checking your posts though as you will be bound to get some help from fellow Genesis owners soon. CEN themselves may also be able to sort the problem for you, you just have to wait a while for them to reply.

RE: Support In Australia?
I would say your best bet for a resource is ebay. I am sorry to say it sounds as if CEN doesn't have the manpower to support their Gen. It took my r/c shop here in KC 6 months to get them to give him a distributorship.
I think this truck is awesome but it does have issues - definitely not for a beginner. I'd say your options are to either wait for who knows how long for CEN support or get your parts off ebay and start wrenching. I replaced the steering servo, added a JR Pro radio and New Era aluminum cantilevers before I even broke mine in.... My first time out I snapped a cantilever link on my top shock but the thing ran like a beast even with Jumbo Kongs and had so much torque it spun a Kong off the rim and stripped the plastic wheel hex to a perfect circle - Awesome! Soooo much torgue. Take it out and, bash it and find the weak links - this is a lot of horsepower and, just like real ones, lotsa HP means breakage - comes with the territory. Or, you could buy a Savage and be just like everyone else in the world.... -DisturedEarth |
RE: Support In Australia?
Forgot to add - GET A ROTOZIP!!! Definitely the first thing you should do - well worth the investment - you can get them from Cen or New Era.
Too Much is Barely Adequate!!! -DE |
