RE: who knows about this engine
well does it even look any good
|
RE: who knows about this engine
dunno about good but it is dirt cheap
|
RE: who knows about this engine
xxx nt kid,
That engine is actually very reliable. It is a side exhaust which is much better for off-road use. If you use your xxxnt on tracks and off-road surfaces, then this engine will work very well for you. Thanks for your interest in our products. CEN Racing |
RE: who knows about this engine
yea but is it powerful. be honest is it anything like a .12 cvr or a novarossi
|
RE: who knows about this engine
comeon please help
|
RE: who knows about this engine
now that cen has cruddy support on rcuniverse i will not be buying this engine i will go with the novarossi top .12

RE: who knows about this engine
If you are going to race your truck then you would be better off with a Nova Rossi or OS engine. I believe the CEN racing team were using the Mugen Rossi MT12 with great results. However, if your truck is mainly for bashing then this CEN engine should do the job very well. CENs' engines have displayed great reliability in the past and produce a good amount of power. Hope this helps.

RE: who knows about this engine
Scouser, is correct. The engine in question, is an extremely reliable engine. It is very user freindly. However, engine's that cost twice as much such as the rear exhaust nova rossi etc, do put out a bit more power. However, we have had competetive results with this engine on a local race basis.
Thanks! |
RE: who knows about this engine
while we are talking about power in engines ,my mt2 engine runs like a bullet right , but when i put the shell on it tends to have to richend up a fair bit ,i have the windows cut out, and the shell mounted as high as i can, should i cut a hole around the bumper to allow more air flow through the head. any idea s welcome
thanks in advance madmark |
RE: who knows about this engine
madmark,
Actually yes, this is simply because of heat being trapped in the body. What you should do is not only cut holes in the windsheild and on the lower bumper (Team Drivers Do this), but you should also cut a hole in the rear window so that the hot air can escape as well. |
RE: who knows about this engine
remember cooling doesnt work right if the heat has no where to escape;) and also would that engine fit directly into my ct4s if it would what kind of performace inscrease would it give over the standard ct4s engine
|
RE: who knows about this engine
Cossie:
The CT4S comes with a Big Block .15 engine. Therefore, it will product more power than most .12 class engine in the market. If you are looking for a upgrades engine, G70354 BIg block Turbo 8 ports will be your choice. http://www.cenracing.com/newproducts.html more info can be seen here http://www.cenracing.com/engineswap.html This is a our exclusive engine swap program we just released yesterday. check it out |
RE: who knows about this engine
thanks for reply but i meant to say the back window is cut out already both for cooling and starting with body on ,the bumper seems to be the last resort ,ye think it will make a difference in airflow if the front bumpergets a hole on the engine side cut out
thanks again madmark |
RE: who knows about this engine
maybe start with a 2"x2" hole in the front windshield, cut out the left & right windows and a hole in the rear window ... thus should have plenty of effect on cooling .. imho
