Engine sealant spray in the uk?

backplate is leaking a bit of fuel - anyone know what sprays i can get hold of in the uk to seal it with? or can i just use a thin smear of silicone?

I used automotive copper colored silicone on my engine and have had no problems. Any silicone should work as long as it is resitant to heat and fuel.

nice one, i thought silicone would be ok, just wanted to be sure. cheers for that.

theres fuel all over the chassis around the front tank and the pull start... loads of it! maybe the one way in the pullstart is leaking too... bummer. engine is out at the mo, so will have a look.

If this is the .28 I have heard that there is a problem with it leaking around the pullstart area after breakin. You might want to check out the Global forums for the fix to this.
XTM and SH engines run best on 14%oil content any more than that it really degrades performance. The higher oil content fuels can also cause leakage around the pull start, especially if you run the motor rich.
