RE: Battery pack
Agreed^^^^
Plus I found that keeping the steering ball ends and post lubed with something like "copperkote"(was for heavy duty oilfield use but now illegal becasue of high lead content but there's nothing better) or some kind of water resistant graphite lube, make your steering smoother and quicker. And the stock tires are really heavy so switching to somethign light can help also. eg: masher 2000s |
RE: Battery pack
Replacing the bushings on the steering posts with bearings will help also.

RE: Battery pack
Yes it will gives you better steering but it depends on which pack you are using 4.8 V or 6.00 V , most new receivers and servos operate with 4.8 and 6V and as general the 6V initiate more torque for the servo which leads to better steering but you should check if the receiver and servos installed in your model operate with both 4.8V and 6V or it is operate with 4.8V only. otherwise you can damage your servo.
Also as Rolland say replace the bushings on the steering posts with bearings gives better steering |
