CT5 Servo issue
Guys me again, I have been looking at the CEN site at the video which shows testing your servos before starting the car and I realised my steering is reletively slow compared to the video footage. I have since replaced my batteries with brand new Duracel and it works fast for about 5 minutes then slow again. When I check the remaining voltage of the batteries after 5 minutes use it reads 5.7v remaining. Help wanted ?? |
RE: CT5 Servo issue
The car in the video was using a 5 cell "hump" style battery pack which has more voltage. We recommend that if you want to have your cars steering quicker like you see in the video to go ahead and purchase an aftermarket pack like this.
Here is a link to a few different places that have the packs: [link]http://www.teamorion.com/products/batteries.asp#Receiver%20Packs[/link] or you can to to this link: [link]http://www.ofna.com/elec-batt.html[/link] There are other companies that manufacture "Hump" style batteries but these are the two that I know of off hand. Have fun! |
RE: CT5 Servo issue
And would these fit the CT5 seamlessly?

RE: CT5 Servo issue
yes, you simply remove the AA bat holder, and plug in a FULLY CHARGED 5cell hump pack and zip it tight, plug it in, good to go.

RE: CT5 Servo issue
Pretty much what Timmahh said. You may need to modify the plug a bit on the five cell pack to make it plug directly to the switch, which is an easy fix as well.
