Wanting and getting!!

I have a revo 3.3 for racing and getting a genesis LE for the big low torque and power. Also I love it when a big 1/8scale truck is beside the little boys. There is somethings I've noticed that I should do before starting. One is get a return throttle spring. Is there a 5 cell pack out there that will fit in the genesis box for the truck. So I don't have to buy alkalines all the time. Also have read some about the servos not turning the big truck very well. Some comments have said no problem, so what is the word on the servos. Before I start racing and backyard brawls with my buds I will get all the little kinks out. Also the axles do they need replacing? Any comments and pointers will be welcomed. Some people said on other forums don't get this get a LST. But I want something that is different and AWESOME looking. The Cen has enough good reports and I like the way it looks. So that's what I'm getting. Thanks again for the help.

The Venom 1200 5 cell receiver pack will fit right in. I've had my Nemesis for about 4 mo. with absolutely no problems with the axles, or anything else. Good luck.

in some of the pics I've seen of the truck it looks like a hump pack. Is that what it takes? Also does the connector from the 5 cell need a change or does it plug right in with the stock wire. What about this lock the center diff, don't lock the center diff. Any info on these two issues would be appreciated. thanks

The truck comes with a 4 cell battery holder, you just replace that with a 5 cell hump pack. The center diff is up to you, it comes in the kit... the pro's and con's are..... massive power, wheelie trade off of letting it out are less wear and tear on the drive train, no wheelies (good thing in my opinion), can adjust front or rear brake bias. 10k-50k-3k seems to be a good diff oil setup if you go that route.

The axles seemed like more of a problem with the nemesis than the genny, but it doesn't really matter because cen upgraded the part and kept the same part number so all new manufactured one are stronger and if you happen to get the older style cen will replace them if it is under warranty.

thanks for the help. Will be getting one next week, and I will take your advice on the differ oil. Probably a little stiffer shock spring as well. Most rtr comes with soft springs. Thanks again.

24Deman:

YOu wont need throttle return spring as standard failsafe is included

Use the highest mAh receiver pack you can get, those high torque servos will suck down AA in no time..

Even with failsafe I thought some guys were saying put the return spring on. thanks for the info and I will search and find a strong mah battery thanks.

RE: Wanting and getting!!

A Failsafe will pull the brakes and release the gas. But, if your linkage is broken, it wont do anything. A throttle return spring will pull directly on the carb arm attached to the butterfly valve in the carb intake. So it's like a double safety really and never a bad idea to have both

RE: Wanting and getting!!

dustin7837 is correct , if the batt dies or the linkage comes off the failsafe wont work. also the failsafe wont work if someone is on your channel your just "sol".the only time the failsafe will work is if it goes out of range or if the transmitter turns off.
