possibly getting a used NEmesis
this guy at our local track today had a nemesis, he owns quite a few RC's, and apparently is into airplanes lol
he really didnt give much of a answer as to why, but the truck looks pretty new, except for wear on the skids.. he claims only maybe 1 half gallons through it now man when i saw this beast, i wanted it BAD..the wheels, the big big block, the mean stance, the pipe, it screams mean. 350$ with radio. it hink its a asteal now my main questions are what type of issues are most common with this truck, what should i know about tranny on it, what fails all the time, etc this would be my first 8th scale, moving down from 10th. thanks |
RE: possibly getting a used NEmesis
Instead of going thru the issues that are common on most rc vehicles, take the time to look thru this forum read all that yopu can. All of issues have been discussed and mostly been resolved here.

RE: possibly getting a used NEmesis
Mcstarr- to answer your question... I mainly roll with three main back up parts... Upper arms, clutch bell gear and outdrive yokes.... if those get to worn out you will take out a bone everyonce in a while.... truck is real durable....
so these back up parts pull the truck through on any race day when someone crashes you and they say the glitched- you can just pop another bad boy on and glitch him back!!!! 17 powounds of brute force |
RE: possibly getting a used NEmesis
yo yo yo....
nah, heh just my first intials thanks guys, ive been reading up quite a bit on this truck. It is really nice in person, quite the monster truck. The only issue that people seem to be having is with the engine not holding a tune i guess, that could be just one guys bad luck though. i think im gonna make the plunge and buy it from this dude. Its about to get pretty cold quick, and im itchin to have a truck on the track with the rest of the people, instead of my RC10! and that sounds about right, upper arms, drive yokes..all the usual suspects when it comes to breakage....thanks for the pointer so does the bell eat up quick ont his truck??? anyway thanks for any replys |
RE: possibly getting a used NEmesis
the clutchbell holds up pretty well but if you do not take the time to be sure that the pinion gear to spur mesh and alignment is perfect you will have pinions for lunch. Take the time to go thru the truck front to back, inside and out, just make sure everything is up par.
Good luck with your new/used truck above all have fun!!!! |
