break in issues
hey guys ..........just wondering what setting on the high and low speed u use when breaking in your gst ????? cant get it to stay running.....called cen they told me 1/2 turn out from flush on low and 1 turn in from flush!!! does that sound right??? please let me know if you can help. thanks john |

hey john yep sounds about right...you need to break in the engine with very rich tuning, to keep plenty of lube(in the fuel) in the engine during breakin. I did not change the settings when I did the breakin on both of my nx76's. I just yanked and yanked. I it is hard starting and cold were you aer trying to start you could use a hair dryer to warm the block, will help starting. If the temp is not so cold and it wont start very easy, you could loosen the glow plug just a crack to release some of the compression, but as soon as it starts tighten the plug back up.

Yes those are the recommended settings. They are on the rich side which is good for break in as Dogman stated. If you are having difficulties starting the engine, then you can lean out the top end to get it started, but it is recommend to richen it back up for the remainder of the break in process.
