MATRIX buggy PICS anyone?
Hi fellow Matrix owners. Ive searched these forums and there are a few around but how about a thread where we all post pics of our Matrix buggies?! I love looking at pics of how others have theirs set up, built, and decorated.... I learn about as much from pictures as I do from reading all these posts. I'll have pics of mine up this afternoon!

RE: MATRIX buggy PICS anyone?
I'm lazy to post my pics but you can check out my profile gallery to see my beloved Matrix, the gunmetal is going to be my basher and the blue bod is just for shelf:)
I havent broken in the engine yet but I have already built my Ofna Chrome top so breakin/starting in this badboy will be less painful, I had this beast for almost 2 years sitting on the shelf just waiting to be awaken and I believe it's going to be this summer. take care!!! |
RE: MATRIX buggy PICS anyone?
Jay-r, Your buggies are beautiful! thats exactly why I started this thread! I have been thinking about a silver or gunmetal body option w black rims and wing. What body are you running on the gunmetal matrix? Nice job.

RE: MATRIX buggy PICS anyone?
Hi Matty! On the gunmetal, it's by RGX. The blue is by JConcepts for Mugen, painted by my Bro. I'm a newbie with Nitro's and probably be seeking advice from you when I start breakin in my Matrix. I personally like the JConcepts more because of the unqiue shape it has, though I think the RGX fits easier.
take care. |
RE: MATRIX buggy PICS anyone?
Jay,
PLEASE ask away. My Matrix is about 1/2 a gallon old at this point. I have learned MANY MANY lessons already and can probably offer you some tips when you get ready to break your buggy in. FIRST THING... Get a pair of mechanix or similar gloves! Eliminates blisters and helps with handling hot engines and pipes! RE: the rgx body. where did you get that one? RGX direct? Did they paint it for you?! Thanks for the help! |
RE: MATRIX buggy PICS anyone?
Thanks Matty! I'm definitely going to be seeking advice from you,
I got it here: http://www.rgxracing.com/clearbodiespage.html It's basically a RGX made body for a Mugen MBX5R and fits the Matrix perfectly. Yup I had them paint the body for me I'm too inexperienced and lazy to do it:D When I bought it the body was 15 bucks I think and the single color scheme is 5 bucks, this was last year May 2006. take care. |
RE: MATRIX buggy PICS anyone?
Yeah gloves are crucial to break in, when they say "break-in" they mean 50% motor 50% hands =)
I use Mechanix Wear gloves [link=http://www.autozone.com/Ntt,MFF-05-011/shopping/allResults.htm]MFF-05-011[/link] they slip on quick and even in 80F+ temps I don't mind wearing them. |
