Nomadio React + Servos..
Ok so I'm eye-balling the [link=http://www.nomadio.net/?pg=hobby.html&sub=react.html]Nomadio React[/link] radio, and I want to upgrade the factory Skyion 144oz/in. servos on my GST to something more beefy. I heard Airtronics servos are good but the strongest servo they make is only 200oz/in.
JR makes the [link=http://www.jrradios.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=JRPS8711]DS8711[/link] which is 403oz/in. which is rockin but it's $139.99 for ONE servo ouch. So what do you guys think for throttle and steering, how much servo torque do I need to lock up my brakes, or fully turn my wheels (while on the ground and stopped) on my GST. Should I shoot for the biggest baddest servo I can find, or would a 200oz/in. range servo from another brand (anything but Skyion) work good enough. Thanks. |
RE: Nomadio React + Servos..
I used the hitec HS645mg(approx. $30) for the brakes and throttle great torque for the brakes. The hitec HS5955MG(approx. $109) 333oz of torque and has been proven to wrok well for the steering.
There is always the dual steering mod too. Works very well, the parts are about $30 including second OEM servo. And the OEM servos are about $15 on the 'Bay to replace one. I use this mod and have had very good luck. In fact look for my detailed write-up on this mod, this weekend. |
RE: Nomadio React + Servos..
Ive been having trouble with servos myself, but as far as the nomadio react goes, its amazing. Dont bother thinking twice, you wont be dissapointed.
It looks and feels different than most radios, but the features, functionality and telemetry are superb. |
