Basic Nitro engine ?'s
 

Hi all,
I am curious about the gasket between the engine block of my NX-26 and the elbow maniflod. Obviously it is a gasket and therefor meant to seal. The stock green gasket that came with the engine is starting to distort and look a little weird. I ordered a new one from racers edge. I also ordered new springs to help tighten it up to the block. Could that gasket cause an air leak or affect my performance even though Its all air going out of the engine? any advice or tips here would be great. Thnx

Well I was around the forums a lot and running my Matrix hard and having a blast almost every day. Then my roomate flipped my buggy bad at the track and did all sorts of damage. Combine the week it took me to get the loot to afford the new parts with the time it takes to get all the parts shipped to me and I have some down time. I have new exhaust gaskets, exhaust couplers, wing mounts, manifold springs, shock towers, rims, tires, proline body, shock shafts, proline wing all on their way to me!!! I am excited to rebuild my buggy and get back on the track! Before I do I am going to take some pictures of my matrix and post them. So can you tell me anything else about the exhaust gasket? I also had a ? about shock towers. I bent the rear one and ordered a new stock one. Is that red cnc shock tower REALLY worth almost $40?!?! Thanks dogman, I love all of your advice...
