RE: nemesis modd idea
yes the xtm mammoth st dogbones and the xtm mammoth axles, you just need to change the bearing on the inside from 19mm to 19mmoutside and 8mminside i found them at boca bearing for 25 dollars or something like that .i made my own axles here
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_38..._7/key_/tm.htm you need to scroll down to see all the parts used and once you use them you wont go back to the original parts any more |

There you go the Arena Shaft is about 129mm pin to pivot, and the Nemesis Cvd Shft is about 121mm pin to pivot. See pic Below..
And a shameless shot of the family,, sorry guys,,lol |
RE: nemesis modd idea
so its to long guess the xtm will be the way to go
|
RE: nemesis modd idea
looking at jumbos mod he didnt use the whole xtm complete axle he made a seperate end piece much rather find a complete axle that will work
|
RE: nemesis modd idea
another ? for dogman what kind of bulk head is on the arena would the lower arms be interchangable with nemesis
|
RE: nemesis modd idea
the axles i made with some 5/16 cold rolled steel rod and used the xtm diff cups or the part that connects them and i used the xtm dogbones from the mammoth st.
http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/149317.asp this is the u part the output joint 8mm not sure of the dogbones either these http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/149791.asp or these http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/149883.asp i think its the second one because i remember them being silver |

RE: nemesis modd idea

|
RE: nemesis modd idea
im looking weight reduction normal cvds would be much lighter than the nemesis ones
|
RE: nemesis modd idea
here are the bearings

RE: nemesis modd idea
the dogbones are def lighter but the rest ,the rod and the diff cups are the same as the original. i came up with this before the new axle stubs came out because i broke one on the genesis le

I'm thinking of building a crawler but can't find anything really cheap to start with...that and i'm really broke after loseing another job... |

RE: nemesis modd idea
Poo, The Axial AX10 Was $225 shipped from Ultimate Hobbies as a complete roller w/ body. and you could do the electronics with a $30 Moped ESC, a $20 55t lathe motor, $20 Battery, and a cheap radio for like $50 not a bad deal if you ask me. Sorry about the loss tho.
Thank you darkfire I like how it turned out. I think that will my scheme for all my crawlers.. Lol like I have more than 2, so far!! |
